True to their word, the ARU released additional tickets for sale for the Rugby World Cup 2003.
If you are an Australian you can purchase your tickets from the following ticket offices:
Ticketek - for matches in New South Wales, Queensland, and Canberra
Ticketmaster7 - for matches in Victoria and Western Australia
Centertainment - phone: 03 6234 5998 - for Tasmania matches
There are no more tickets available for the Adelaide (South Australia) matches.
As of today - I just checked ticket availability - there's still plenty of tickets available for most of the pool
matches. Get along to them if you can - you can pick up tickets for a song and the quality of the rugby will be awesome, not to mention
the atmosphere! The semi-finals and final look like they're sold out (and no you can't have my tickets for the final - though I do have a good
friend who wants to sell his tickets so if you're interested email me and
I'll put the two of you in touch. There's still tickets available for the quarter finals in Melbourne and Brisbane, and also there still tickets for the
Play Off final. The play off final is between 3rd and 4th spot teams and will be in Sydney on November 20. If you're going then give me a yell
and I'll try to organise a drinks get together!

OKAY! So it is old news, but here is the ticketing deal in a nutshell - a ballot system for high demand matches and prices from AUD $5.00 for some pool matches.
There are 4 stages to the ticket offer:
Stage One: An offer to venue members and other members with contractual rights.
Stage Two: Public offer to Rugby community
Stage Three: Public offer to all sport fans in Australia
Stage Four: Ballot drawn for PRIME matches (opening match, quarter finals, semi finals, final)
Stage one has already commenced. Stage two commences October 14.
The Rugby community consists of Rugby players, referees, volunteers, parents of junior players, club administrators, committee volunteers and club ball boys and girls. This offer will be mailed directly to the eligible Rugby community.
Stage three commences October 20th. This offer will be made to sports fans nationally, tickets will also via the internet for this offer.
Stage four commences February 12th, 2003. This will consist of a separate ballot for the Rugby community and sport fans, as per stage 2 and 3, and takes place on the above date. Those successful in the ballot will then have 4 weeks to pay for their prime match tickets. Tickets not paid for will be split evenly between those unsuccessful in the first ballot, and the ballot system starts over.
TIP OF THE DAY - The more tickets to pool matches you purchase the more likely you will be successful in the ballot as every time you buy a pool match ticket you get a chance in the ballot. More pool match support equals greater prime match opportunity - so get in and buy those pool match tickets!
